The SGA is playing matchmaker once again this year during the 2013-14 school year Match-O-Matics fundraiser.

If you didn’t know, Match-O-Matics is a matchmaker quiz students will fill out during homeroom. The questionnaire’s questions are based upon student’s interests, hobbies, favorites, etc. One your quiz has been filled out, students will submit them and they are sent out to be scored and matched. A few days later, the results come back and the SGA will sell your results in the cafeteria for a low price that has yet to be determined. This quiz isn’t just any matchmaker quiz, however, it displays your top 10 most compatible boys and girls, your most opposite, your celebrity matches, as well as a zodiac based match-up.

Last year students were skeptical about Match-O-Matics, but once results were spread around, the fundraiser turned into a big hit. It was emphasized that Match-O-Matics is not a just a relationship quiz, it’s to match students with friends, not partners. Students enjoyed seeing how many of their own friends were on their list of matches, as well as how many people they’ve never spoke to they were compatible with.

“I think this year’s Match-O-Matic’s will be better than last because more people know exactly what it is. Last year it was a puzzling idea, but now people seem to be excited” Said senior and SGA president, Dan Forrester.

Dates have yet to be determined for Match-O-Matics, but the quiz can be expected to be administered in homeroom during the next few weeks.
