I Hop, You Hop, Let’s All Hop to IHOP!

If you’re a pancake lover, you’ll be happy to hear that IHOP is on its way to Bel Air! The International House of Pancakes is expected to make a sizzle in May, 2014 at the Bel Air Plaza, taking the spot of the late Marlin and Ray’s restaurant.

In Nov., 2012, Ruby Tuesday’s announcement that they were going out of business was followed by their offspring restaurant, Marlin and Ray’s, taking their place. Unfortunately, after a mere 4 months, Ruby Tuesday’s ruled an unexpected closing of all 13 of the Marlin and Ray’s locations, the location became vacant once more.

IHOP is primarily a breakfast restaurant, but also specializes in burgers and offers dinner options as well.  Until now the closes location has been in Edgewood.

“I will most definitely be hitting up the new IHOP. This restaurant is the best thing that’s happened to me since I was 12,” said a very enthusiastic BAHS sophomore, Carleigh Welch.

Although there is still a bit of time before the restaurant opens, Bobcats have a nice stack of flapjacks to look forward to towards the end of the school year!
