Winter Ball Gives Unique Ideas for a Dance

The Winter Ball will take place from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Sat., Jan. 25 at Bel Air High School.

The Winter Ball brings unique ideas that have never been done before. Five girls and five boys from each grade level will be chosen by class advisors to appear on the Royal Court ballot.

In order to apply to be one of these lucky students on the ballet, the Winter Ball Royal Court application must be filled out. Applications can be obtained from Mrs. Orth in room C301, Mrs. Tackett in room B304, or in the front office. The application requires signatures from two teachers that support your application.  Applications are due Thu., Jan. 23 to Mrs. Orth or Mrs. Tackett.

Students at the dance will then vote from the ballet on who they think should be crowned for each grade level. If a student who is chosen to be on the ballet is not present at the dance, they will be withdrawn from the ballet. There are different positions for each grade level in the Royal Court. If a student is chosen, they will be crowned based on their gender and grade level.

“The fact that all the classes are sponsoring and all grades are going to be crowned really makes the Winter Ball unique and different from previous dances,” says Mrs. Tackett, one of the class advisors.
