Bel Air Armory Site For Festival of Trees

On Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 1 the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance Festival of Trees will be held at the Bel Air Armory. The 2013 CCA Festival of Trees will benefit Upper Chesapeake Health’s Cancer LifeNet Programs.

 

Starting the weekend off, is a “Festival of Trees Preview Party”, on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where you can preview  this year’s trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses that were decorated and  donated by local groups and businesses. They will be auctioned off all weekend. This event is $25 at the door and $20 if you pre-order a ticket. Tickets will be sold at Preston’s Stationery.

 

On Saturday there will be a Family Breakfast with Santa at the Bel Air Applebee’s  from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., story time with Mrs. Claus at 11:00 a.m. and performances from Ryan Kilcoyne School of Irish Dance at 2:00 p.m.  The silent auction for the trees and wreaths will be beginning on Saturday as well.

 

On Sunday the CCA Festival of Trees will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the silent auction will close at 3 p.m., and there will be two showings of Professor Horn’s Magic Show, at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. There will also be holiday boutiques, crafts, fresh greens, refreshments, and children’s crafts and games throughout the weekend.

 

Admission to the CCA Festival of Tree’s is $12. Children 12 and under are admitted for free if accompanied by an adult.
