The Film Festival will open at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $5 per person, and include a soda and popcorn. An all access pass can be purchased for a fee of $10.  All children under 10 years of age can get into the Film Festival for free.

On Friday at 8 p.m., “Secretariat’s Jockey”, Ron Turcotte will be featured. On Saturday at 4 p.m., “Magic Camp” will be shown, and at 7:30 p.m. “In God We Trust” will also be featured. And finally on Sunday at 1 p.m., “Medora” will be presented.

Rebecca R. Jessop, Director of Special Events & Community Outreach, stated, “We scour the films shown at the major film festivals (Toronto, SXSW, Tribeca, etc.) and bring in a few of the highly acclaimed films in order to choose the films that we present in our festival.”

All participants are allowed to bring their own food if they please. At the end of each of the films there will be a discussion session held by people associated with the film. There will be a special guest host at the film festival, Jennifer Rowland Small, a former professional jockey.

Jessop says, “We want to entertain as well as stimulate thought and discussion about different topics. It’s amazing how films can leave a lasting impression on one’s thinking.”
