Partners in Caring And Shop Rite Host Local Charity Event

On Saturday, September 21st, the Klein’s Shop Rite on Main Street held an event to benefit the Partners in Caring organization.

Partners in Caring is an organization that donates food and other necessities to the homeless and needy. The group has hosted several events for this cause. This year, in addition to having a barbeque in the parking lot and activities for kids and families of the store, a raffle was being held for an autographed picture of Ray Lewis holding the Super Bowl Trophy, with all the proceeds going to Partners in Caring.

Despite the good cause the event did go unnoticed by some, and local resident and Shop Rite shopper Cathy Bradley says that, “I shop at the store regularly but I still didn’t know about it.”

The store anticipated this and made up for it by donating a portion of its profit the day before to make sure that enough money was raised for the charity.

Mrs. Bradley says that “I was happy to find out that they donated money the day before, it made me feel be netter about not being aware.”

The event was a huge success due to the efforts of the store and Partners in Caring. Contact your local Shop Rite to check for any upcoming events like this one.
