Senior Class Officers Announced

On Friday, September 6th, ballots were distributed in homerooms for the 2013-2014 senior elections. The senior class voted on their class President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

After the vote count, the results were announced on Monday, September 9th on the Cat’s Eye.

Tori Gryglewski, last year’s junior class vice president, is the senior class president. Jessica Vazquez was elected vice president, Olivia Rose is the treasurer and Brittany Decker will serve as secretary.

One issue that is weighing heavy on the class officers are the prices of senior activities this year. The amount of fundraising for the senior class directly affects the prices of events such as prom and the senior trip. Without effective fundraisers, the prices for these may be unmanageable for the students.

President Gryglewski commented, “I’m very excited to be senior class president and I am looking forward to making senior year our best year! We have a lot to take care of, but with the help of the other officers and myself I think we can improve [prices] from years past.”

Vice President Jessica Vazquez agreed with fervor and added that the senior class needs to pull together to make this year the one they envisioned.

“As your senior class Vice President I will put forth the dedication and effort to raise funds for all of the upcoming and exciting events that we have to look forward to. Now, it’s time to get involved and together we can make this a fabulous year!” Vice President Vazquez said.

The first chance for seniors and underclassman to support their class is to buy a class shirt, see your homeroom teacher for order forms!
