On Friday, August 23, 2013 the newest Bel Air Bobcats took their first steps as freshman in BAHS on Freshman Orientation Day.

The orientation began in the gym with a few cheers from the Bel Air High School Varsity Cheerleaders and followed with a pep talk from SGA President, Dan Forrester. Bel Air High School Assistant Principal Mrs. Harris then talked to freshman about rules and dress code.

Then, off they went! The students scrambled to find their classes and lockers. There were sophomores, juniors and seniors around to help with opening lockers and directing the students and parents to classes.

“I am most excited about meeting new people!” said freshman, Rachel Meyers.

In such a large school like BAHS, it can be nerve-racking as a new student who doesn’t know what to do or where to go. But, any lost student can ask a teacher or any other student for help at any time!

Freshman, Taylor Gischel said, “I am more excited to be a freshman after the orientation!”

BAHS gives a warm welcome to our very own class of 2017! Have a great year Bobcats!
