Baltimore Humane Society’s Holiday Open Lights Ceremony

On Sunday, December 2nd the Baltimore Humane Society will be holding a Holiday Lights Open House from 1 to 5 pm, to commemorate and raise money for the animals in the shelter, and provide holiday entertainment for the whole family-pets included!

The Baltimore Humane Society is holding their annual Holiday Lights Open House; colorful lights will be covering the shelter and surrounding buildings. You can buy a light or a silhouette, to be displayed during the Animal Silhouette Lighting Ceremony, in memory of an animal or a friend. They can be purchased up to December 25th and will stay on display until January 5th.

The shelter will also be accepting donations during the open house. You can purchase an item on the animal’s “Wish List”, which can be found on the website bemorehumane.org, and bring it to the open house to help support the shelter and the animals they care for. Other donations are also appreciated, especially adopting a pet! Shelter tours and adoption application will be available during the open house.

“There will also be a giving tree, which is a tree with ordainments of all the pets up for adoption, and on the back will be their wish for Christmas. And people can come back and donate and give to the pets that are really in need. We really appreciate any kind of help for the animals.” Said the Director of Marketing & PR; Wendy Goldband.
