Steve Jobs R.I.P. 1955-2011

Steve Jobs, who died Wednesday October 5th from pancreatic cancer at the age 56, did not invent the computer, a cell phone, or music. But he did invent methods, business models, and devices that turned into significant part of our society today. His iDevices always seemed to be years ahead of their time.  These devices not only revolutionized the way people connected with art and information but with other people around the world. You could download anything from music to television to online magazines.

Steve Jobs helped launch Apple in 1976, resigned from the company in 1985, and returned in 2005 to resuscitate the PC maker from the brink of bankruptcy. Apple has grown into the world’s most valuable technology company through his ability to, in his own words, “make our hearts sing.”  He was an icon in the technology world, an inspiration to many young people and will always be remembered for his knowledge and creativity.
