The Social Studies National Honor Society (Rho Kappa) met for the first time this year in Ms. Todd’s room before homeroom from 7:00am-7:20am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. The meeting discussed their election for student government within the club and voted the following morning. Rho Kappa meets the fourth Wednesday of every month before homeroom from 7:00am-7:20am. The next meeting will be held in Mrs. Bowden’s room on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, before homeroom from 7:00am-7:20am.

Rho Kappa’s overall mission and purpose is to promote social studies courses, the scholarship and academic excellence in social studies, and an interest, understanding, and appreciation of them. If you are a junior (11) or senior (12) interested in joining Rho Kappa, you must have a minimum overall unweighted GPA of 3.25 and a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 in all social studies classes.
