Lemon N Ginger

After hearing my parents drone on and on about how fantastic Lemon N Ginger was after their date night, my friend and I decided to check it out for a girls’ night. Located in the Boulevard at Box Hill, it is only a fifteen minute drive from Bel Air High School. When we first arrived at the restaurant, the hostess gave us the choice of eating Zashiki style (when you remove your shoes and eat on a low traditional table and sit on pillows on the floor), or western style (sitting in a chair as usual). Unsure of what exactly Zashiki was, we opted for western style. The restaurant was a bit small and the tables were very close together, but the atmosphere was inviting, warm and relaxed. The dim lighting and quiet music made it the perfect place for intimate occasions like dates and small get-togethers. Our waitress was friendly and the service fast. We ordered the California rolls and the steak hibachi, and both meals came with wonton soup. The prices of food are very reasonable, making it an affordable choice for high school students. Lemon N Ginger is an excellent place for quality Asian food. Every dish was undeniably authentic and fresh.
