Almost five years after its debut, Anna Todd’s trilogy hit the big screens with its first installment, “After”. However, the story behind this coming movie can be considered unique when compared to other teenage romance movies.

 Anna Todd began writing in 2013 on Wattpad; an internet community for readers and writers. Originally being a One Direction fanfiction, the series hit extremely well with its young audience and gained popularity. “After” was officially published on October 21, 2014. Shortly thereafter, the rest of the trilogy followed suit.

 The story is about an 18-year old college student, Tessa Young’s Josephine Langford) comfy life being overturned with the arrival of the mysterious Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin). His uninvited presence makes her begin to question what she truly wants in life. The movie officially released in theaters on April 12, 2019 by Aviron Pictures.
