Stranger Things Season 2 was released on October 27th 2017, and was watched by much of the world (including myself) the night of its premier.

Stranger Things season one was released on July 15th 2016 and captivated the world with its many different aspects. It is set in the 80s, has comical characters, romantic relationships, a monster, a government lab with tons of secrets, a girl with telekinesis, and a boy who has gone missing.

The show started to blow up in October/November of last year and now is one of the biggest Netflix shows “binged watched.” After the release of Stranger Things Season 2, it became the most tweeted about streamed show on its premiere day in history.

Many people were scared that the creators of the show Matt and Ross Duffer would add too many supernatural things or try to rush the production of the show to get it out faster. In my opinion, the Duffer brothers exceeded all of my expectations and had a good balance of supernatural and real world problems.

“What I like about the show is that when I watch it (especially season 2) is that I feel what the characters are feeling. Whether they are sad about being separated from someone they love or fighting a bunch of monsters to save middle-schoolers.”  Bel Air student, Kamea Wilson said about watching the show.

The show has something for everyone truly and for all ages to enjoy. The show is aimed to “show people who are outcasts/ people who are different to rise up and be the heroes” as one of the directors, Shawn Levy explains.

“Stranger Things is perfect for anyone because they have the relationship with the kids and how close they are, the teenagers and that love triangle, the adults and how they are dealing with everything that is happening.” said Bel Air student, Dominique Pecovic.

Stranger Things is directed for everyone and the second season is darker, more interesting, but still has all of the good qualities of the first season.
