Town of Bel Air Film Festival

Logan Burnett

From Oct. 15 – 17, 2015, the Town of Bel Air Film Festival will be held at the Bel Air Reckord Armory, with a movie each night and a matinee on Saturday.

This is the seventh year of the film festival, which tries to re-create the old, small town feeling of dinner and a movie on Main Street. Before the Regal Cinema or Digiplex, there was a movie theatre on Main Street. Town of Bel Air Film Festival spotlights a unique form of art in Bel Air.

Every year the film selection committee views films on the festival circuit that people in the community might not get a chance to see. The committee then selects the best films for the residents of Bel Air. This year they have chosen Taking Back the Airwaves for Thursday night, Harry and the Snowman for Friday, and  A Ballerina’s Tale and A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story for Saturday.

Tickets are only $5.00 per movie which includes popcorn and a drink, or you can purchase an all access pass for $10.00 which will allow you to see all the movies.

If you would like more information, it can be found on their website, http://townofbelairfilmfestival.com. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring some more culture to the small suburb of Bel Air. We hope to see you there!
