-Beyoncé Album Drop: No advertising. No marketing. Beyoncé just drops an album out of the blue. And the self-titled album sells nearly one million digital copies within three days. It’s been in the number one spot of iTunes singles for the past week and was one of the fastest selling digital albums ever.

Project for Awesome 2013: Brothers John and Hank Green have been doing ‘P4A’ since 2007. Project for Awesome was created by the ‘Vlogbrothers’ to raise money for several charities. The brothers encourage YouTubers to create videos to promote a charity of their choice and then people vote for the top seven that should get the money. All the money comes from people all over the internet donating to the campaign. This year, they surpassed their goal of $250,000 within the first few days and have reached $700,000 since then.
