12 Bobcats Inducted Into International Thespian Society

On Oct 31, 2013 twelve eligible Bel Air High School students were inducted into the International Thespian Society for their work on various Bel Air Drama Company performances.

The International Thespian Society is the Educational Theatre Association’s student honorary organization. It acknowledges the achievements of high school and middle school students that are involved in the drama productions in their schools.

Each school has its own assigned thespian troupe that is led by a director. Students can earn an invitation to be included into the Thespian Society by being involved in the school productions. Having a Thespian Society troupe raises the stature of the school’s theatre program. There more than 4,000 high schools and middle schools with thespian troupes.

Brian Benz, the membership manager of ITS, recognizes the hard work and achievements of the Bel Air inductees and their troupe leader, Mr. Ben Smith.
