Holiday Spirit

Connor Ostadali

Greetings, Bobcats! It’s that time of year again, where we are all preparing for the holidays! Thanksgiving just passed and soon enough it will be Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other holiday you celebrate.

I personally celebrate Christmas, so I do not know a lot about any other holidays celebrated around this time, but I do know that this is a time of giving. So, make sure to do your best to give to those who are less fortunate. Through the school, Bel Air offers a Toys-For-Tots program that encourages students and staff to bring in new or gently used toys, and they will be donated to the kids whose parents cannot afford them.

Once we get back from winter break, the year is going to go by super-fast. Second quarter will be there waiting for us at the end of January, from there, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, followed by St. Patrick’s Day. Third quarter begins sometime around there. Next is Easter, along with spring break, to bring us closer to the end of the year. All that is left is fourth quarter, finals, and AP testing, and right after that, the year will be over and it’ll be time for summer break again. It’s crazy how quickly the school year is just flying by!

So, enjoy the holidays at this time of the year, be thankful for what you have, and make sure to give to those that have nothing. Soon enough the holidays will be over and it will be time to go down the list again. Again, happy holidays, and I hope you all have a blast spending time with your friends and family!
