2015 Fall Trends

As the warm summer months wither away, many eagerly anticipate the return of fall fashion. Boots and sweaters emerge from closets, welcoming the cool fall air. With the new fall season approaching and the temperature dropping, various new fall fashions are popping out at us from the runway and fashion magazines.

Whether its chunky sweaters or that favorite pair of boots that compliment any outfit, everybody has that one clothing piece that they cannot live without during the fall season.

Introduced from the runway recently has been the return of faux fur, flared coats, chunky sweaters, and the infamous turtleneck, what many critics are calling a “70’s Vibe.”

The 1970’s, the era that brought us Saturday Night Fever, has been a major inspiration this fall. Now really, it’s 2015—we don’t need to be looking to the past for fashion inspiration, but a lot of flares, knits, and BOHO silhouettes have been re-emerging. Now believe me, this style definitely isn’t for everyone. It takes a certain flair and stamina to pull of looking like you just walked out of 1974. But when you can pull it off, it has a certain class that makes it look much more “chic” than just some hippy Halloween costume.

Faux fur has also been a major statement piece this fall. The many different styles and colors add a certain flair to any outfit, whether it be formal or casual. This style allows to add texture and a pop of color to any outfit.

The fall season can be a great excuse to jump out of your comfort zone and try new styles. Whether your everyday style is jeans and a t-shirt, a dress, or your casual sweatpants, it never hurts to try something new. So experiment, try something new, and make sure you post your #OOTD!
