A few key returning players who should propel the team to greatness this season are seniors Keegan McHugh, Chris Hagy, Matt Christakis, Finn Gottschalk and Devin Adams, and junior Nick Jenkens. This year, the program will welcome four new coaches, including Head Coach Doug Testerman, and assistants Tony Roney, Nick Roney, Justin Hohner.
There will also be an eager group of incoming players, who expect to contribute to the team’s overall success. These players include senior Daniel Webber, juniors Ryan Chan, Andrew Sin and Tyler Legge, and sophomores Noah Periosing and Cole Harden.
“This season, we are looking to make the leap to the state finals after falling one game short last year. We have a great mix of experience and raw talent coming up from the JV level.” Explains senior Aidan Lake. “This is a special group of guys and I am very excited to see what we can do under our new head coach, Doug Testerman.”
For the Bobcats, their work as already begun. They have established their goals and are holding themselves to high standards, eager to return to the State Semis and capture their first state title in school history.
When asked about the team goals for the season, Coach Testerman states, “Our goal is to win a state championship. We are loaded with talent and we are senior laden which will help us.”
The Cats will open up the season at Bobcat Stadium against MIAA B-Conference foe Archbishop Curley at 6:45 p.m. The team will be looking to feed off the support of their students all season to compete in the county and in the state!
