Annapolis Defeats Bel Air Varsity Ice Hockey

On Thursday, Jan. 5, the Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team traveled to Laurel to face off against the Annapolis Panthers to make up their game that was supposed to be on Dec. 19.

The Bobcats were nowhere to be found this game as the Panthers jumped all over them in the first period. By the end of the first period, the score was 3-0 Annapolis.

In the second period, it just got worse for the Bobcats as Annapolis continued to dominate the game. By the end of the second period, Annapolis put up two more to give them a 5-0 lead.

“We came out slow and Annapolis took advantage of us early,” says sophomore Ian Strader, “and by the time we were ready to play, it was too late.”

In the third period, Bel Air started to wake up a little, but it just was too little too late as Annapolis shut down the Bobcats 5-0. The Bobcats move to 3-3-0 on the season.

“We did not show up to play at all. We weren’t generating offense and we struggled on defense.” Strader states.

The Bobcats look to get back in the win column as they host the Easton Warriors on Friday, Jan. 20.
