Lady Bobcats Avenge Loss to Bo Manor with a Win Against North Harford

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 our Lady Bobcats played Bohemian Manor High School and lost 12-0. On Friday, April 22, 2016 our Lady Bobcats played North Harford High School and won 3-2.

On Wednesday the ‘Cats had a difficult game against Bohemian Manor losing 12-0 in a shortened game here on the Bel Air field. Sophomore Gwen Markowski started in the game against Bohemian Manor and threw two innings before Freshman Kat Perea took the mound throwing for the remainder of the game. Sophomore Gwen Markowski had the only hit of the game earning a single in the 5th inning. After a few collective mistakes by the team the girls couldn’t pull together to triumph over Bo Manor.

“We found out as a team what happens when we compound a mistake with a mistake and that’s not our brand of softball,” explains Senior Captain Savannah Meyers.

The Bobcats continued on to play North Harford High School and won 3-2. Sophomore Gwen Markowski worked on the mound giving up only 6 hits. Sophomore Katrina Thielhorn hit 2 for 4 with 2 singles. Senior Savannah Meyers had the RBI sac bunt scoring Junior Morgan Dvorak who tied the game at 1 in the 4th inning. Freshman Ari Dramis had an RBI single in the 7th inning to put the Cats ahead 3-1 in the top of the 7th inning.

“It was a total team effort to quiet North Harford’s bats with excellent defense and we came up clutch in crucial situations at the plate,” shared Senior Captain Savannah Meyers.
