On Friday, April 15, the Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Rising Sun to face off against the Tigers.

The Bobcats had an explosive 1st inning, putting up 4 runs to give them a commanding lead of 4-0. In the 3rd and 4th inning, the Tigers started to make a little bit of a comeback as they put up 1 run in each inning to cut the deficit to 2.

At the top of the 7th, the Bobcats sealed the deal and put up two more runs to give them a victory of 6-2. Their second game was on Monday, April 18, traveling to Elkton to face the Golden Elks.

“We played terrific on Friday. Our pitching was good and we managed to put up many runs,” said Sophomore Cameron Kalandros.

The Bobcats got off to another fast start in this game, putting up a run in the 1st inning to give them a 1-0 lead. In the 4th and 5th inning, The Golden Elks bounced back, putting 2 runs up on the board to give them a 2-1 lead. In 6th inning the Golden Elks expanded their lead as they put up 2 more runs to give them a 4-1 lead. The Bobcats put up a fight in the 7th inning and put up 2 runs, but it just wasn’t enough, as they fell 1 run shy to Elkton by a final score of 4-3.

“We took the lead early in the game but we couldn’t manage to hold it. We started to make a comeback back but it was too little too late,” said Kalandros

The Bobcats are now 7-3 on the season and are 4th in their division.
