On Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, the Bel Air Cross Country Team ran in the MPSSAA 4A North Championship meet at Hereford High School. The boys’ team placed 15^th and the girls’ team placed 17^th.

The boys’ team was led by Sophomore Kieran McDermott in 44^th place with a time of 17:35. McDermott was followed by Senior Captain Austin Weiss in 54^th place with a time of 17:48 and Sophomore Ethan Gray in 123^rd place with a time of 18:50.

The girls’ team was led by Senior Morgan Smith in 77^th place with a time of 21:56. Shortly behind Smith was Sophomore Paige Blaker in 99^th place with a time of 22:32 and Junior Julia Merritt in 117^th place with a time of 23:38.

Following the meet, Coach Sokolis stated, “It’s been a great season and I hope everyone had fun! Coach Ruff and I have had a blast coaching our team and seeing everyone improve and beat their personal records.”

The Bel Air Cross Country ran an excellent season.  As expressed by many members on the girls’ team, “We are all ‘XCited’ for next year!” Great job Bobcats!
