Lady Bobcats Defeat Rising Sun

On Monday, Oct. 5, the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team played against Rising Sun at Bel Air High School, winning 4-2.

Bel Air proved strong right from kick-off, scoring three goals in the first half alone. The first goal was made by Senior Gaby Encarnacion, with assist by Senior Juliana Portera. Encarnacion then came back and scored the second goal, no assist. Senior Kenzie Wills wrapped up the first half scoring the third goal, also with no assist.

Rising Sun put themselves on the board in the first half scoring one goal. Starting Keeper, Senior Andrea Sipos played a strong game, making 4 solid saves.

“Offensively we took advantage of the mistakes made by the other team and defensively we did a good job clearing the ball from dangerous situations,” commented Head Coach Clemmer on the performance of the team.

During the second half, Sophomore Lexi Kraemer scored the fourth goal with no assist. With ten minutes left in the game Freshman Keeper Jill Kozak took over and made one solid save. Rising Sun then scored their second goal of the game, to end the second and final half with a score of 4-2, Bobcats.
