Bel Air Falls to Frederick Douglass in a Thrilling Battle

The Bobcat Varsity Football team was shocked with its first loss of the season by Frederick Douglass High School, on Friday, Oct. 2 at Bobcat Stadium.

Against one of the best football teams in the state, the Bobcats endured a tough loss at home. Bel Air worked relentlessly through the piercing wind and rain, making BAHS proud, regardless of the scoreboard.

Junior Daniel Webber said, “There were some bright spots, no one gave up and we lost to a team who played in the championship last year.”

Bel Air continued to resemble a professional football team, with championship ambitions, great defense, and an explosive offense driving their season.

Bel Air will travel to rival C. Milton Wright this Friday, Oct. 9, and is looking to rebound from the loss and come up with a win against a solid Mustang team.

Webber continued, “We’re looking to bounce back.”

The team will need your support this week, so grab your fellow Bobcats and drive over to C. Milton Wright. Let’s show that our famous Bobcat pride is NOT confined to Bobcat Stadium!
