Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team continues their victory streak against John Carroll.

On Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, the Varsity Lady Bobcats traveled to John Carroll to play their second game of the season winning with a score of 3-1.

Our Lady Bobcats started the game off on the right foot when Sophomore Lexi Kraemer with assist from Senior Gabby Encarnacion set the score at 1-0. Quickly following, Senior Juliana Portera with assist from Sophomore Lauren Asher scored another goal, ending the first half with a score of 2-0.

After half time the Bobcats hit the field once again and found John Carroll closing in when they bumped the score to 2-1. Retaliating, Senior Jaimie Layfield with assist from Senior Rebekah Riley scored, ending the game with a final score of 3-1.

Clemmer explained, “Offensively we did well. We could’ve done better if luck was on our side, we had a lot of balls hit the post. Our starter goalie Andrea Sipos was not able to make the game, so freshman Jill Kozak stepped up and played an amazing game in the goal. As a team, I wouldn’t change our pitch to the game.”

The Lady Bobcats next game is on Monday, Sept. 21, at 6:45 pm right here at Bel Air. Come on out and support your Bel Air High School Girls’ Soccer team.  Go Bobcats!
