Varsity Softball Ends Season at 16-4

The 2015 Bel Air High School Varsity Softball team played there last game on Monday May 11, losing to C. Milton Wright 15-4.

Bel Air had a great season this year they went 16-4 overall. They made it to the second round of playoffs winning Patapsco and losing against CMW.

Score by inning:

CMW: 1 in the 1st, 6 in the 3rd, 3 in the 4th, 2 in the 5th, 3 in the 6th.

BA: 3 in the 4th, 1 in the 5th.

Hitters for BA:

Brianna Fleischmann – scored a run, hit 2 for 3 and an RBI

Sarah Fleischmann, Gwen Markowski, Rayn Gibson, Morgan Dvorak, LeahLozzi – all had singles

Sarah Fleischmann, Gwen Markowski & Rayn Gibson also scored runs

Bel Air is one of the youngest teams in the division, and only having one senior leave the team Leah Lozzi.

“Leah has been a wonderful athlete to coach the past 4 years,” said Mrs. Donaldson.  “Her contributions both as a force in the field as well as a leader on our team were tremendous.  She is going to be missed greatly!  I am super proud of her for continuing to play softball at Eastern University. She was one of the only contributors with her bat yesterday and finished her high school career with a great game.  I am proud of how our girls worked throughout the season and the accomplishments they achieved.”
