The Girls’ Varsity Softball team defeated the North Harford Hawks on Monday, April 13, 2015 and the Rising Sun Tigers on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

The girls are now 6-1 into the season, having defeated Rising Sun twice now, Southern High School, John Carroll, Fallston, and North Harford. Their single loss is to C. Milton Wright, and are excited to have another shot with them at home.

Pitcher Rayn Gibson and Senior Leah Lozzi are key players in each game. Gibson has a total of 75 strikeouts out of the 6 games they have played, and a batting average over 500. Everyone has made a contribution to the team, and the girls are all working very well together.

“In past years we have always struggled with our offence, but this year had been one of the best years,” said coach, Ms. Donaldson

Bel Air has one of the youngest teams. They have 5 freshman starting Katerina Theilhorn, Amanda Criss, Brianna Maccubbin, Gwen Markowski, Kayla Reiswig.
