On Feb. 11, 2015 Bel Air High School had nine seniors sign to various Division 1 and Division 2 colleges to play a sport this upcoming fall and spring of 2016.

The ‘Cats had a total of four football players, two girls’ lacrosse players, one girls’ soccer player, one field hockey player and one tennis player all sign to their respected college.

Cole McDonough, Kyle Hamrick and John Gallina all signed to a Division 1 college to play football along with Brendan Yetter who signed to a Division 2 school to also play football. McDonough is going to be playing at Columbia University, Hamrick is headed to Marist College, Gallina is joining the Hawks of Monmouth University and Yetter will be attending and playing at Seton Hill University.

The Girls’ Lacrosse team had two players present as they signed their letters of intent. Katy Higinbothom and Shannon Williams will both be joining Division 1 programs. Williams will be a Duck at the University of Oregon while Higinbothom will be joining the Camels of Campbell University.

The Girls’ Soccer team was represented by Kayla Klock who will be playing Division 2 soccer as a Cardinal at Wheeling Jesuit University. Field Hockey was also represented by Judy Yurkofsky who will be attending and playing Division 1 field hockey at Rider University in the fall. Michael Quang is headed to University of Louisville to join the Division 1 tennis team in the spring of 2016.

The ‘Cats are very proud of these nine seniors who will be graduating this spring and wish them the best of luck continuing their football, lacrosse, soccer, field hockey and tennis careers at all the different colleges they will be attending.
