On Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, the Bel Air Bobcats’ football team avenged their only loss of the season in their 28-0 victory over Aberdeen in the first round of the playoffs.

The Bobcats played a complete game, one of their best games of the season, in order to shutout the Eagles and put up 28 points on the board.

The game got started on the offensive side of the ball with Devin Bowers 2 yard blast over the goal line aided by the offensive line and Jay Zorzi’s extra point to give the Bobcats a 7-0 lead.

Junior Hunter Cohen, said, “It was a great start to the game. We wore them down with our power running game and I believe that’s what made the difference.”

On the defensive side of the ball the Bobcats also had a tremendous game. The defensive lineman’s push made the linebackers and defensive backs job easier all night allowing the Bobcats to shutout one of Harford County’s most potent offenses.

“Throughout the entire night everyone on the defensive side of the ball took care of their responsibilities and did their job. It was a great display of a team effort,” said Junior Jeremy Poole.

The Bobcats will be playing away at Franklin High School on Friday, Nov. 21, for a chance to win a regional championship. Come out and support. Go Bobcats!
