Over the course of 3 days, The Bel Air High School Golf Team won both of their matches.

The Golf Team started their success on the weak of Tuesday, Sept. 9, by defeating the Patterson Mill Huskies and the North Harford Hawks. Their defeat was accomplished by shooting a 208 while their opponents shot 226 and 213 respectively.  This match was the Bobcats’ biggest test of the season, surviving a great surge by North Harford’s team. The Cats were led by Seniors, Tyler Newton (37) and Kevin Morrissey (41).

The Bobcats came off of their narrow victory on Tuesday to put up their lowest score of the season (205) on Thursday, Sept. 11.  The Golf Team was led again by Senior Tyler Newton who shot a two-under-par 34 in his round.  The Cats also got a boost from Seniors Kevin Morrissey (42) and Cody Smith (43) and Junior Spencer Comitz (42).  The Cats’ great play led to their route of their opponents, Patterson Mill and Harford Tech, who shot 228 and 253 respectively.

Coach Doyle commented on the Team’s success early in the season, “We are coming together and putting up great scores lately and I expect it to continue.”
