On Friday, Sept. 5, the Bel Air Bobcats played North East in their opening home game. The game was played at Bel Air under the lights at 7 p.m.

The Bobcats came away with a 35-3 victory led by a great team effort on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

The second drive led by the offensive line was capped off by a touchdown run by Senior Devin Bowers.

“It felt great to be back on the field with my team. We worked hard this summer and we definitely deserved this win. I am proud of the entire team,” said Bowers.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bobcats only gave up 3 points to the opposing team. The defense is led by Senior captains Brendan Yetter and Kyle Hamrick.

“I was proud of the defense and the entire team. Our effort in the offseason really showed during the game. It felt great to be back on the field,” said Yetter.

The Bobcats play again this Friday away at Elkton. They look to pick up another win and keep the team rolling in the right direction. Go Bobcats.
