Important Dates and Deadlines for Seniors

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, there was an informational meeting for the class of 2017 held during first period.
During the meeting, students received an informational packet of upcoming important dates and deadlines.
JANUARY
Seniors, your very last dance at Bel Air High School will be the winter ball. Tickets go on sale for $20 per person Jan. 17 – Jan. 26, and the dance will be held on Jan. 28 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
On Jan. 18 and Jan. 19, graduation product orders will be taken in the cafeteria during lunch, and again on Jan. 31. There will be no late exceptions.
The deadline for checking your name on your diploma is Jan. 20 in the school counseling office. The name that you see on your report card is the name that will show up on your diploma, so make sure it is correct.
FEBRUARY – MARCH
Feb. 1 is the deadline to submit your yearbook message.
Feb. 10 is the final day to order graduation announcements and graduation memorabilia.
There will be another senior meeting on March 28, and students will receive a “end-of-year packet.”
APRIL
April 1, is the deadline to submit a senior baby picture and parent message to the yearbook.
Prom tickets will be on sale from April 3 – April 20 before or after school in room B208.
The DUI mock trial presentation and the distribution of graduation products will take place on April 21.
On April 22, prom will be held at Martins Eastwind from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. The after-prom party will be held the Bel Air Athletic Club from 11:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
MAY
Class trip tickets will be sold before or after school in room B208 on May 1 – May 5. Spring Senior Shirts will also be sold.
Graduation speeches are due (if you are interested in speaking at graduation) on May 2. Graduation speech judging, before a faculty panel, will be held after school in room A305 on May 3.
Senior Athletic Awards will be held at Jarrettsville Gardens from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on May 21.
Senior exams will take place May 25 – May 31.
Senior awards and graduation practice will take place on May 30 and May 31.
JUNE
On June 1, the senior awards assembly will take place at 8:00 a.m. in the gymnasium. The final graduation practice will take place following the senior awards assembly.
Baccalaureate will be held on June 4, in the auditorium at 2:00 p.m.
The senior class trip to Kings Dominion will be on June 5.
Graduation will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Harford Community College.
The after-graduation chemical-free cruise will then follow from 11:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.

Seniors, this is the time to keep focusing, but have fun! If you have any further questions, see your counselor before deadlines, not after when it’s too late.
