On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, the senior class meeting was held during school in the auditorium during first period, and the senior parent meeting was held after school in the cafeteria.

The senior class meeting covered topics such as graduation announcements, cap and gown information, prom, etc.

The senior parent meeting covered the same information that the senior class was given earlier in the day, with the purpose for the parents to have the same understanding as their children.

School counselor, Mr. Riley says that “as much as we want you here, we want to see you graduate and move on in June,” as he was explaining how this is the time to stay focused even though we are now in the second half of the senior year.

Mrs. Taylor and Mr. Smith went on to explain the specifics of graduation and the rest of the senior year. Along with the many activities the seniors have to participate in. Mr. Smith gave the senior class information about the senior class shirt and when to pick it up and when to wear it.

Mr. Smith says that “you can pick up your senior class shirts in my room before or after school. You can pick them up this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.” Before school means before homeroom, and after school means after 2:00 p.m. Mr. Smith made it very clear that these are the only times to get the shirt. The senior class shirts will be worn on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.

If any senior missed the senior meeting, see your counselor or class advisors ASAP to get the informational packet that was given at the meeting. It is important that you have the packet that contains all the information and order forms that have specific deadlines for the rest of your senior year. If you miss the deadlines, there are no late exceptions!
