World Cultures Night

On Tuesday, Mar. 15 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., World Cultures Night will take place in the school cafeteria. If you are unfamiliar with this annual event, the night is organized by the Foreign Language Club. World Cultures Night works to make a comfortable and fun environment where countries from all around the world are showcased to the students at the school.

During the event, visitors will be able to sample food from each country and learn more about that country’s history while enjoying an exciting night out with their friends.

“There’s so much to learn about the world outside of Bel Air,” says participating junior, Donna Nguyen. “This event is a great opportunity to learn about and celebrate the diverse cultures behind our classmates and around the world.”

Part of the night will also be dedicated to performances where students can sing, dance, or show something that’s representative of a certain country. If students are interested in preforming during World Cultures Night they should contact Senora Brady in room C108.

Senora Brady stated: “The focus in Foreign Language Club is to make the student body aware of different cultures, ethnicities, traditions and practices.”

ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDENTS: This will also be an extra credit opportunity for any student taking a foreign language. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to not only learn more about the world around you, but to also demonstrate your determination to succeed in the classroom.
