Chesapeake Cancer Alliance’s Festival of Trees

The Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA) is inviting everyone in the town of Bel Air to the 10th annual Festival of Trees. From Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., to Sunday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The festival will be held at the Bel Air Armory on Main Street, which will hold silent auctions, baked goods, breakfast with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, and food and drinks. The fee of admission will be $7, and children under 12 will be allowed in for free if accompanied by an adult.

Core Club Leader Mrs. Zorbach and her students will be entering gingerbread houses to auction off for charity during the festival. “We were really excited to try something new and we have a lot of teachers and former teachers involved in the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance, so this charitable act made sense to us,” said Mrs. Zorbach.

The CCA was created in 2003, when people were interested in improving cancer patient’s lives and raising money to fund such services. CCA is affiliated with The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation.
