Recently, the Biomedical Sciences Program was selected to receive the 2015 Career and Technology Education (CTE) Outstanding Secondary CTE Program of excellence award.

The Division of Career and College Readiness (DCCR) was delighted to recognize this program for its preparation of students for careers and further education. Bel Air Bio-Med will be recognized for this award alongside nine other schools and programs winning awards such as Outstanding Business Partnership and Outstanding CTE Marketing Campaign.

Assistant Principal at BAHS, Ms. Harris said, “The Maryland State Department of Education asks each county to submit a nomination for this award based on the outstanding work in and out of the classroom. This year, Susan Garrett, Assistant Supervisor of Career and Technology education, submitted the nomination for Bel Air Bio-Med.”

The nomination of this prestigious award not only shows the hard work of students and teachers in the classroom, but also the dedication of everybody in a student’s life and how they are being prepared for their future.

“This award is just a way to signify the hard work of our students,” Ms. Harris said. “It shows our appreciation for all the hard work of all our students, faculty, and parents and lead the way to their bright futures.”

Award presentations will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbor Hotel in Downtown Baltimore. Congratulations to Bel Air High School Bio-Med and all of the students who participate in it.
