Viral:

Facebook – The social media giant has, for a while. followed in the footsteps of sites such as Twitter to present “trending topics” on their users’ homepages. However, Facebook’s Trending feature has been under fire recently by conservative news outlets and politicians. Despite the company claiming otherwise, many have accused Facebook of presenting news with a liberal bias. Likewise, it was reported that Facebook seemed never to report on themselves, unless it was positive news. This was ironically proved to be contrary to fact when these criticisms against Facebook became the top trending story for a while. In response, Mark Zuckerberg and other higher-ups in the company have held a meeting with conservative politicians and pundits to discuss the allegations.

Uber – Following previous prototypes by Google among other big names, the mobile app/personal taxi service is showing off an upcoming feature — the self-driving car. Yes, there may soon be a day in which you have no Uber driver, because the car itself will do all of the work. The first fleet of these vehicles are currently being tested on the streets of Pittsburgh, but Uber insists they are purely focused on “getting the technology right,” so don’t expect your next Uber to be driverless for a while.
