Radiohead: The eccentric, multi-genre band that cemented their place in pop culture with 1993’s hit single, “Creep,” only to spend the next two decades pushing boundaries with albums such as the super-successful OK Computer, and its alienating electronica follow up, Kid A, is back making headlines. Fans and music critics alike have anticipated Radiohead’s ninth studio album since their last release in 2011, and the band had spent the past few years dropping rather vague hints towards its release. The biggest one came this past weekend, when Radiohead’s website slowly faded to a plain white, and their entire social media presence was deleted. Finally, the band returned with a single — “Burn the Witch,” and just a few days later, another song, entitled “Daydreaming.” The full album is slated for release this Sunday, May 8.
Captain America: The third installment of the newest Captain America film series, starring Chris Evans in the titular role, releases to theaters this weekend. Entitled “Civil War,” the movie has already been subject of rave critical reviews and will likely be a box-office smash, much like its predecessors. So if you haven’t already, don’t forget to secure your tickets to watch the most recent escapades of the Marvel Avengers, and find out where you fall — team Captain America or Iron Man?
