2016 Swing Dance Preview

Shane Abrams

On Saturday, May 14, the Jazz Band Ensemble will be hosting the fifth annual Swing Dance.

The dance is one of the Band Booster’s biggest fundraisers, raising money for the band and their activities. It gives students the ability to learn how to swing dance, while jamming to the Jazz Band’s various tracks that they’ve been practicing all year, such as Big Noise, In the Mood, and more.

Early in the evening from 6-7 PM, free swing dance lessons will be provided to get everybody into the “swing of things,” followed by the actual event from 7-10 PM. Light refreshments will be provided along with a silent auction giving away prizes.

Tickets are $20 online and $15 in the cafeteria. To buy them online, visit seatyourself.biz and click on buy tickets. Next, type swing dance into the search bar. When it pops up, click on Swing Dance 2016 under What and then you’ll be able to reserve your tickets.

This is a community event not exclusive to Bel Air High School, so make sure to invite your friends from other schools and your families, and of course, have a swinging time!
