Viral:

Prince – The innovative, funk-inspired musician, well-renowned for his classic albums such as 1999, Purple Rain and thirty-seven others spanning over a wide time period and different genres, died this week on Thurs., April 21. His final album, Hit n Run Phase Two was released this January. “The Purple One” will be remembered not only for his music, but also his gender-ambiguous image, controversial lyrics (that even prompted Tipper Gore to start issuing those infamous Parental Advisory stickers,) and the legacy that he left behind on music and those who admired him. He was 57 when he passed away in the elevator of his Paisley Park recording complex, and was reportedly struggling with an unidentified illness. Stars such as The Weeknd, Justin Timberlake, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda, and others paid their respects to him, and even President Obama issued his condolences.
