On Wednesday, Sept. 30, Bel Air High School will be holding their first 2015 poetry slam. Mr.Taylor organizes the event and is guaranteed to put on a good show.

The night starts with an “open mic” that is open to anyone that has a talent or a piece of artwork they would like to share in the black box theatre. The second part of the night consists of the “slam” where five random audience members are selected to judge the slam poetry performers.

The Slam consists of a second round where the performers will compete for the higher score, based on their performance. There will be three winners who receive a small prize. For this slam, their second poem will be a cover of another’s author’s poem.
